MOSCOW, Nov 25 (PRIME) -- The Russian year-on-year consumer price index (CPI) will fall below 10% in January 2016, Deputy Finance Minister Maxim Oreshkin said at a conference Wednesday.
“The main target is to reduce the inflation level, we do follow this track. Inflation will return to a single-digit level already in January,” Oreshkin said.
Oreshkin also confirmed an earlier forecast that CPI will fall to 7% by April.
Inflation is expected to amount to 0.6–0.7% in November and 12.5–12.7% in 2015, he also said.
